breaking point
introductory blurb

All of the gods are dead. All of them... except one.

Amelia and Revesk were, and still are, immortal lovers. They've existed since humanity dawned. None of the gods knew why - not even the two mates realise why they exist - but they have their guesses. At some point, Amelia made a deal with Loki, the greedy trickster of all the gods. Bring her to godhood, and he would have a place beside her in ruling the world under a united banner. He, after finally being disowned by the gods, agreed.

Amelia drank the blood of a god and forcibly ascended herself to godhood. She doesn't even count as one in the metaphysical sense, but she has the power of one. Then she murdered them all. It wasn't part of the plan, but they wouldn't fall in line. Amelia destroyed every god there was, and when the time came... she turned against Loki.

Loki barely escaped with his life, thanks to Ravesk's distraction. Ever since, he's been missing - but even after two hundred years, Amelia still searches for the lost god who rallies the rebel forces against her. She will have her revenge... and she will make Ravesk help her on her path of destruction.

The Characters

  • Amelia

  • Ravesk

  • Loki Laufeyson

first main character

Amelia

Amelia is an immortal being who forcibly ascended herself to godhood by drinking the blood of a willing god - Loki. Otherwise known as the Undying Empress, she is the ruler of the entire world. She finds herself easily bored, so she milks whatever 'entertainment' she can find. Currently, that entertainment is the rebellion called Laufey's Bastards. Her lifelong lover who she calls her mate is Ravesk.

second main character

Ravesk

Ravesk is the immortal being who helped Amelia take control of the world. He is both her lover and right hand man, doing whatever she says. Ravesk is considered the lapdog of the empire, but he has little choice in the matter. Last time he disobeyed Amelia, it cost him permanent scars across his face and body, leaving him mangled and nearly unrecognisable with the white streaks of shock it gave him.

third main character

Loki Laufeyson

Loki Laufeyson is the last remaining true god. Though he betrayed every other god and goddess there was, he finds himself regretting his choices, hating himself for what he has done to the world. He made Amelia a goddess, and in return, she murdered every deity there was and then turned on him. Ever since, he's been missing, but is known to be the leader of the rebellion called Laufey's Bastards.
